Music Feeds has just premiered our our version of ‘Honeymoon’.
A haunting, stripped back, Jep and Dep style cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon”.
Currently putting the finishing touches on their second album, Sydney’s own folk noir duo Jep And Dep have just released a stunning cover of Lana Del Rey‘s Honeymoon as a tease of things to come. Now the cover getting its own moody black and white video to boot
Having fallen instantly in love with the song when they first heard it, the duo wished they’d written it themselves. Deciding the next best thing would be to just make it their own via the time honoured tradition of the stripped back cover, the result speaks for itself.
“We loved the tragedy, the emotion, the drama and we just knew wanted to cover it”.
Heightening the melodrama and tragedy of the song by stripping it back to its bare bones, their approach is also in keeping with their sparse aesthetic and sound. Hinting at what to expect from their forthcoming follow up to 2014’s independently released Word Got Out, the cover has the band’s fans and followers eager in anticipation.
You can hear it TODAY from 8pm on 2ser’s SIDEWAYS THROUGH SOUND!!

Last night we supported LOW at The Factory Theatre.
LOW are one of the most amazing live bands and without sounding cheesy, it was a god-damned honor to support them.
Also, to be on the same bill as the ever-dark-prince Mike Noga was a thrill as well.
Read Ross McLelland‘s The Music review “…Their voices mixing light, and a lot of dark. Default setting, heartbreak. Even in dreams of escaping to My Berlin, only to find it disappointingly gentrified…”
Here are some photos from the night…
Stay tuned for something special early May.
Hell yes. We are supporting LOW and Mike Noga at The Factory Theatre on April 8th!!
